Firstly, the mixed waste plastics collected from the plastic waste recycling station are disassembled by using a bag breaker. After bag breaker, the materials enter drum separation system with disc trommel screens. The drum screen first separates out materials larger than 30 centimeters, and those smaller than 30 centimeters are further processed to next for deep separation. Materials larger than 30 centimeters, such as refrigerator shells, small stools, and chairs will separate and classified process in first time. Materials smaller than 30mm will all enter to ballistic machines, which is also known as a 2D/3D sorting machine. 2D usually refers to the kind, such as films or soft plastics. 3D usually refers to this kind of bottles and cans. After these 2D and 3D products are separated into two categories, they are also placed on the manual sorting table for packaging with balers on both sides. Since plastics normally contain some metal components as well, at the end of the entire separation system, we will recommend installing a magnetic separator and eddy current separation device. This will enable a better separation of ferrous and non-ferrous materials from plastics, achieving the optimal separation result.
